In this session, we will explore the research that backs play and creativity as the ultimate stress buster and connection builder for you and your kids. You will leave with hands-on practical tips and tools to integrate play every day that you can use with your kids at any stage of development. Through creativity, imagination and a playful mindset, attendees will discover how to connect with your kids, engage with joy, and enhance overall well-being in parenthood.

Nina Meehan is a creativity and innovation expert, award-winning youth theatre director and producer, and an internationally recognized arts educator. She is the founder of Bay Area Children's Theatre, where her work touched the lives of 1 million children, parents and teachers across the globe. Currently, she is a workshop leader, speaker, coach, and consultant. She brings together the power of creativity and play to unlock joy and connection for parents, teachers and CEOs alike. Her writing and work have been spotlighted in numerous publications including, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, American Theatre Magazine, San Francisco Chronicle, Barron’s, Red Tricycle, ABC News, NBC News, and CBS News. She is proud to say that she has been an invited speaker at two TEDx events. With a background as founder, artist, storyteller, educator, and business leader, Nina is uniquely qualified to bring the tools of creativity and play to the workplace, home, school, and beyond. She holds her BS in theatre from Northwestern University, a Master’s of Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco, and is currently working on her PhD in Creativity
